My name is Natalia Cerqueira and I am a passionate professional accordion player. With the support of my Portuguese father who has always loved to sing and play the concertina, I was introduced to the accordion and began to play at the age of seven and always had lots of fun performing and entertaining both small and big audiences: Growing up, I would always play for my family and friends and while still at Secondary School performed for The Royal Shakespeare Theatre Company and for the BBC. Since the age of seventeen, I have played for the Portuguese National Day here in London and in playing for our local church have supported the Portuguese Community.

I currently teach accordion and organise community events for my students to play where everyone can enjoy themselves and exhibit their talent. On a weekly basis, I play and sing at nursing and disability homes in and around London. I also continue to perform in a variety of venues ranging from weddings, functions, schools and was recently a band member for a Burlesque Singer at Glastonbury Festival.

I also perform in a duo with another fellow accordionist called Sergio whom I have known for many years.

I play a wide and extensive repertoire which consists of music from all around the world. The genres range from Classical, Latino, Gypsy, Folk, Yann Tiersen style to English Traditional and Modern music and much more!
